Media Buyer Planner

Description:

Are you an experienced Media Buyer / Planner looking to work in a dynamic in-house agency where the clients never leave? Our Media Buyer / Planners work closely with the VP of Marketing, media vendors, franchise ownership groups and other members of the Marketing Department to create and implement creative marketing plans to drive sales at the retail store level.

The ideal candidate will possess several years of media buying and planning experience, great customer service skills and able to work independently or as part of a cross functional business team

Duties:

Media Planning/Buying

•Counsel and educate internal and external audiences on effective media planning/buying strategies
•Research media options and make recommendations; plan and negotiate spot buys
•Track and communicate media schedules and expenditures
•Develop and update media flowcharts/planning calendars
•Generate post-buy review and analysis of flights
•Coordinate grand opening event activity; manage trafficking of spots
•Utilize media research to evaluate effectiveness and efficiency of plans/buys

Qualifications:

•Minimum 2-3 years of media planning and buying experience in a client or ad agency setting. Familiarity with retail, commercial, franchise and sales procedures a plus.
•B.A. or B.S. in Marketing, Advertising or related field strongly preferred
•Demonstrated creative thinking and innovation process to problem solving.
•Well organized with a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to plan and lead projects
•Strong verbal communication skills. Ability to be persuasive and work collaboratively to get projects completed. Ability to clearly present new information
•Ability to work autonomously, and in a team environment. Ability to take ownership of a project and lead a project team to desired results.
•Strongly motivated with sense of urgency in a rapidly changing environment
•Working understanding of Microsoft Office; understanding of media related software a plus
•Ability to travel up to 10%, with minimal overnight stays
