Duties: |
Essential Responsibilities (other duties as assigned)Operations Management
Work with Operations Manager to understand Stores business plan. Implement non-sales related activities to control costs while driving the business. Work with Operations Manager to evaluate performance compared to plan and to benchmarks
Ensure approved products and signage are displayed in accordance with approved plan-o-grams. Achieve and maintain full-store set standards (merchandising)
Achieve inventory turn objectives while optimizing in-stock levels. Implement product changeovers. Ensure obsolete inventory is minimized and RTVs are completed timely. Maintain system inventory data integrity (inventory management)
Monitor loss prevention initiatives to curtail losses. Promptly advise management of any unusual activity (shrink control) Conduct store evaluations, purchasing and receiving, and corporate reporting/paperwork on a timely basis
Prepare store for daily opening and closing; stock inventory; perform general housekeeping duties
Maintain stock of proper safety-related items (baking soda, Personal Protective Equipment, etc.). Monitor usage of first aid cabinet to budget. Follow and enforce all safety rules and regulations
Oversee facility maintenance issues. Work with Operations Manager to address problems.Sales and Customer Service
Demonstrate a customer first mentality. Greet customers in person and on the phone to determine their needs. Practice add-on selling and up selling
Operate computer to complete sales transactions
Install batteries; perform tests, tune-ups and tech work
Load, drive, and make deliveries, or arrange deliveries via third party delivery companiesSupervisory Functions
Assist with selection and training of store associates
Delegate tasks, validate completion and ensure policies and procedures are being followed
Function as a leader by acting in an influential and persuasive manner. The position requires the employee to regularly use electrical cables, simple hand tools, a magnifying glass, spot welders, automotive and electronic testing equipment, as well as regular use of a phone, fax, computer, and printer/copier.
Up to 15% local travel by company and/or personal vehicle.
While performing the responsibilities of this position, the employee will occasionally be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outdoor weather conditions and the risk of electrical shock. The level of noise in the working environment is moderate.

Qualifications: |
Minimum H.S. diploma/equivalent and at least one year retail experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to communicate concrete and abstract ideas and understand and communicate directions using both oral and written means. Ability to make presentations to small groups of employees/customers
Demonstrated ability to work with minimal direction as a resourceful, independent problem solver. Must be able to analyze fact and circumstances and make decisions within limits of standard or accepted practices
Ability to perform simple math calculations such as addition, multiplication, percentages
Ability to handle multiple projects/tasks and meet deadlines
Ability to work in multiple store locations
Must be able to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business including peak seasons, special events, |
